KM’s Ella Babcock throws second no-hitter of season

Kasson-Mantorville’s Ella Babcock threw her second no-hitter of the season Monday night.

KOMETS ROUT STEWARTVILLE 11-0

K-M girls’ softball had plans for a double-header with Stewartville on Monday, May 9, but Mother Nature had different ideas. Game one, the only one, was a KoMets’ five-inning 11-0 rout of the Tigers.

Kasson-Mantorville’s Ella Babcock sparkled once again on the mound, hurling her second “no-no” of the season. She went five innings, allowing no runs on no hits, striking out nine and walking one. Tressa Smith took the loss for Stewartville. Smith surrendered 11 runs on 12 hits over five innings, striking out two.
