Kasson Post 333 baseball drops games to Byron, John Marshall
Kasson Post 333 vs. Byron
Kasson Post 333 traveled to Byron last night and came away on the wrong end of an 8-7 defeat. Byron took an early 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning before Kasson responded with three of their own in the top of the second highlighted by an RBI double by Nick Larson, RBI single from Jake Hallstrom, and an RBI single by Noah Swarts.
Score remained tied at 3-3 until the bottom of the fourth inning when Byron was able to score one to take a 4-3 lead. Byron tacked on another insurance run in the bottom of the fifth to increase their lead to 5-3. Kasson however wouldn't give up and put another three runs on the scoreboard to take a 6-5 lead.
Bennett Brown drove in Kellen Wilke with an RBI single. Spencer Anderson scored Austin Fitch with an RBI single, and Bennett Brown scored on an error.
In the top of the seventh, Kasson brought in an insurance run with an RBI double by Jake Hallstrom to give Kasson a 7-5 lead. Byron wouldn't go down easy though as they scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to walk off with an 8-7 victory.

Kasson Post 333 vs. John Marshall Patriots
Kasson Post 333 couldn't get much going against the John Marshall Patriots on Friday, June 18, falling by a final score of 12-2.
The game was initially scoreless through one before Bennet Brown laced a single to left field to score Austin Fitch who previously doubled. John Marshall responded with one of their own, however, to tie the score at one through two innings. In the top of the third Kasson threatened with the bases loaded but were unable to scratch across any runs.
In the bottom of the third JM exploded for seven runs to take a 8-1 lead. In the top of the fourth, Kasson threatened once again, scoring one on a Noah Swarts RBI fielder's choice. JM came right back scoring two of their own in the bottom of the fourth to increase their lead to 10-2.
After Kasson went scoreless in the top of the fifth, JM notched two runs to secure the 12-2 victory.
