The Triton/Kenyon-Wanamingo/Hayfield girls soccer team got in a lot of work the past week. On Thursday, September 22, a solid Class AA team from Jordan visited. The girls played probably their best half of the year in the first half, as the Cobras trailed just 1-0 at half. Jordan slowly took over the game in the second half, and the contest ended with a Jordan 5-0 win.

On Saturday, September 24, TKWH traveled to Montgomery for a rematch with Tri-City United. The TKWH girls had beaten them 2-1 at home in the first game of the season.

“Our girls controlled large portions of the game and had more shots on goal than the last 4 matches combined, but we could not get the ball in the net,” said Coach Jeremy Himli. TCU scored on 3 of their 9 shots on goal and won 3-0.

This week the Cobras host Plainview-Elgin-Millville on Monday, for Parents Night, they travel to Pine Island Tuesday night to play PIZM, and then they invade Winona to play Cotter on Saturday afternoon.
