HAYFIELD BASEBALL TEAM SPLITS OPENING-SEASON DOUBLE-HEADER

The Hayfield Vikings, with the sun actually shining bright, got the new season underway on Saturday, April 9, with a two-game matinee.

Game 1: Jackson County Central 4, Hayfield 2. Hayfield lost to the Jackson County Central squad, 4-2, on Saturday, April 9, at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. The Vikings scored a run in the bottom of the third, but the Huskies answered with a run in the fifth.
