Mantorville Art Guild celebrates Valentine’s Day
Artists from the Mantorville Art Guild were demonstrating their talents last weekend as the gallery celebrated Valentine’s Day as well as the reopening of the gallery. The gallery was closed during January.
On Saturday, the Art Guild members were also joined by several student artists.
The Guild is a non-profit arts organization that includes artists from all over southeastern Minnesota. It is located in a pre-Civil War building in historic Mantorville.
In addition to providing a place for area artists to display, and sell, their work, it also is a location where the Art Guild members can hold a variety of classes for the public throughout the year.
Student art will be on display next month as the Guild celebrates March as Student Art Month.
Members have also announced the theme of the artwork on display in February at the Kasson Public Library. The theme for February is “Tropical Paradise.”
The Art Guild and the library began a partnership in 2022 where works by members are displayed in the library with the display changing periodically, usually monthly.
The goal of the partnership has been to increase the awareness of the Guild, and the arts in general, in Kasson and throughout southeastern Minnesota.
