Everyone’s a neighbor this weekend in Byron

All the activity is not in Dodge County this week as it is also “Good Neighbor Days” in Byron.

City-wide garage sales have been going on all week and the main activities get going today, Thursday.

Clues for the Medallion Hunt will be posted each day on byrongnd.com and the Good Neighbor Day website.

Thursday evening events get underway at 4:30 p.m. with an Authentic Mexican Fiesta hosted by the Byron Methodist Church. Cost for the meal is $10 a plate.

The Beer Mile starts at 7 p.m. at Wildwood.

Also Thursday evening is a Puzzle Hunt hosted by Escape Challenge.

Friday sees a golf tournament beginning at 10 a.m. at Oak Summit.

The Driveway Art Contest will be judged at 5 p.m.

Beersbee Tournament starts at 6 p.m. at the Bears Den with a sign-up fee of $20 per team.

Bring a lawn chair, tap your feet and enjoy the music of Fred the Bear from 6 to 9 p.m. at BCRC from 6 to 9 p.m. Stick around for the fireworks at approximately 10 p.m.,

Saturday sees a whole day of fun, beginning with a 5K and Kids Mile.

Stop by Bear Paw Coffee at 8:30 a.m. for Rise & Shine Outdoor Yoga and Coffee.

Then head over to the Art Fair, beginning at 9 a.m., between County Road 5 and Byron Avenue.

Check-in time for the Byron American Legion Beanball Tournament is 11 a.m. with the tournament beginning at noon. Fee is $20 per team.

Byron Boy Scout Troop #42 will host a Burger Bash from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Wildwood.

It’s a Family Fun Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the BCRC Fields. Activities will include a gaming trailer, mini-golf, and yard games. There will be inflatables by the Byron Chamber, food trucks, and a vendor fair. The Cybears Robotics Team and Dodge County Youth Hockey will also be at the fun day.

Christ Lutheran Church will have a free ice cream social from 2 to 4 and there will be a Firefighter’s Dance at the Fire Hall at 8 p.m. with music by Problem Child. Admission is $10 per person.

Good Neighbor Days wraps up on Sunday, beginning with an outdoor worship service at 9:30 a.m. at the Byron Soccer Fields hosted by NorthLight Community Church.

The car show runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the BCRC Fields followed by the Grand Parade at 3 p.m. along 4th Street.
